What program is right for you?

Beachbody has so many programs to choose from that it can be difficult to decide which program is right for you.  Personally, I have completed P90x, Insanity, and am now undertaking P90x2.  I wanted something easier for my mother-in-law so I purchased Power 90 so she could work out while she visited us to help with our newborn for a while.  The great thing is that Beachbody has so many programs to meet different goals and fitness levels. has an online tool that can help you choose which one is right for you.  The link is:

Just choose the following options from the top of the screen of that website:

  • Best Sellers
  • Weight Loss
  • Advanced
  • Express
  • Abs/Core
  • Dance
  • Extreme Results
  • Cardio/Fat Burning
  • Specialty Programs
  • Getting Started

From my experience, P90x, Insanity and P90x2 are world class programs that can help you get extreme results.   However, these programs may not be the best place for everyone to start.  These are intense programs.  I weighed 275 pounds when I first started P90x.  It was an extreme program and it required a lot of modification on my part just to keep up.  At times, it got easy to get discouraged.  However, like Tony Horton says in the video “Just show up and keep pushing play” and that is exactly what I did.  In the end, I got great results.  However, I was truly committed this time to getting in shape and I did not let anything stop me.

It is crtical to pick a program that you feel comfortable doing and will commit to completing.  The worst thing to do is pick a program that you are unable to keep pace with and then quit because you get discouraged, so be sure to do your homework first.  Take a look at the many different options.  I am glad to help if you have any questions.
